What a shock to listen to the morning news this morning and hear of the lose of another one of America's great heros.
NEIL ARMSTRONG passed away at the age of 82 on Saturday the 25th from heart-surgery related complications.
NEIL ARMSTRONG was the first man to step foot on the moon. To this day I can still remember exactly where and what I was doing when I saw him via the television as he took that step and said those now famous words that will go down in history: "THAT'S ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND."
NEIL ARMSTRONG {August 5, 1930- August 25, 2012} YOU WILL BE MISSED!!!

Saddened, wistful, nostalgic, to be sure. But "shocked?" The man was 82. Plus you got the quote wrong. Look it up.

"NEIL ALDEN ARMSTRONG REMEMBERED AS A HERO, AN IMAGE HE SHUNNED" a quote from one of the articles on his website. The man didn't want attention. He just wanted to live his life and serve his fellow man without any fanfare.
Whether he was 82 or 22, it was still shocking - or maybe heartbroken would have been a better choice of words - to learn of the passing of someone you admire; of someone who has done more for America than you can imagine. Much of what he did was never publicized.
So it's sad when people stop caring about their fellow man as they become part of the senior citizen population.
Oh, by the way, you can blame the TV reporter for the miss-quote which has since been corrected. Thank you for your concern for your fellow man.

Darcie: You misquoted Armstrong. Why are you blaming someone else? But I'm glad to see you fixed it. Thank you.

Mr Hinterthuer, I've explained myself once. If you can't understand that I can't help you.
I don't have time to play this game. D
