'Arrrrr' You a Pirate? Check Out Photos, Festival Information
Port Washington Pirate Festival starts Friday, lasting through Sunday — providing a weekend full of fun.
It's here — the first full weekend in June, which means it's also the time of year when pirates hit the streets of downtown Port Washington in full costume.
The event includes: "invasions, a Thieves Marketplace, a Gruel Galley, a Buccaneer Bash, fireworks, children's activities, demonstrations, educational exhibits, musicians, comedians, a parade, a pirate ship and much more," according to the event's website.
The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Find the schedule of events on the festival's website.

Thank you all very much for your comments and compliments on the joke and story telling and the fire breathing during my shows at the Port Washington Pirate Fest. I had a lot of fun. The only problem is... I forgot to bring my camera therefore I have no pictures of my performances. If you happened to take any pictures of the "fire breather, that guy with the fire..", please let me know where they are posted or please forward me copies. You will receive photographers credit. Thank you in advance. Look forward to seeing everyone next year.
