Between the Greens in Saukville takes an overwhelming first in Readers' Choice competition for the best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day locally.

Between the Greens got 54 votes, giving the restaurant and bar 62 percent of the votes. Victor's Pier Street Shanty comes in second with 9 percent of the votes; Schooner Pub came in third with 8 percent; The Patio Bar & Grill and New Port Shores tied in fourth with 6 percent each.

Voting on the poll closed at 9 a.m. Friday. This was a not a scientific poll.

In determining the winner, Patch considered a number of items, including poll votes, business listing ratings, article comments and Facebook or Twitter comments.

So what's the big deal at Between the Greens? According to the business' Facebook page, there are quite a few Irish-focused attractions:

"We will be hosting a traditional Irish breakfast featuring bangers, eggs, Irish soda bread and of course an Irish beer or coffee starting at 6 a.m. Live music entertainment featuring Finbar MacCarthy who will be entertaining everyone all night. Our menu will also feature our fabulous reubens, Guinness pulled pork sandwiches and Irish shephards pie throughout the day."
