Celebrity Alert: Happy Birthday, Dustin Diamond

The former Screech from Saved by the Bell celebrates his 36th birthday on Monday; the actor owns a home in Port Washington.

Most famously known for his nerdy role as Screech in Saved by the Bell, Dustin Diamond — who owns a home in Port Washington — is far from those high school days, turning 36 on Monday.

Born Jan. 7, 1977, in San Jose, CA, according to Biography.com, the celebrity later appearead on TV shows such as Celebrity Boxing, The Weakest Link and Hollywood Squares, as well as doing standup comedy.

Diamond owns a home at 124 Grandview Drive, Port Washington, the Ozaukee County Register of Deeds confirmed; a pin on CelebrityHousePictures.com gives an aerial view of that home.

In this YouTube video, user rjake904 takes a drive into Port Washington to find his house, commenting on the landscaping and noticing an extremely full mailbox.

Diamond hasn't had the cleanest record since leaving Saved by the Bell: court records in 2009 showed a lawsuit from We Energies for $2,079.40 in unpaid utility bills, according to JSOnline.com. In 2006, Diamond nearly lost his home in foreclosure, but was able to come up with the needed funds in part by selling T-shirts that read, "I paid $15.00 to save Screech's house."

Have you seen Dustin Diamond?

Tell us about your sighting, or send a birthday wish to the local celebrity in the comments.

Happy B-day Dustin.

FYI for any other stalkers out there, you may not want to video yourself committing federal crimes.

Whenever I have a Screech sighting he's either at Walmart or Target buying games or DVD's, and FYI He likes to be called "D-Man" not Screech.

What kind of story is this?? Kinda trashy for an otherwise reputable site.

As a homeowner in Port Washington, Dustin Diamond has a clearly local connection ... and as a celebrity he is someone people in this area talk about. We wouldn't do any sort of post for celebrities not connected to the area, and of course we'll continue to bring strong local news in other categories as well. I've got some great stories about a YMCA cancer event and donation, a Port native who's had a lot of success with a new board game and more coming this week. Thanks for reading Patch!

I find it amusing, when I meet people from other cities for the first time I'm all "btw that Screech guy lives in my town" when he first moved here kids messed with him quite a bit, it has since died down.

A better choice is to visit Libby Montana. Meet the owner and all of a sudden you'll be 2 degrees from Kevin Bacon, by way of the local celebrity (Mark Metcalf) who paddled Kevin Bacon in Animal House.

Mark Metcalf is a great guy... sadly, he does not own Libby Montana any longer. His ex-wife does.

Him and his wife were at Walmart in Saukville. I asked him what made him move to Port and he told me "I don't live in Port". I just said ok and left. What an a$$.

He does seem quite private. Especially since he has lived here so long and has never once used his celebrity status to help anything or anybody in the community.....other than himself (to save his house). I'm almost positive since there were no comments in this story from him, that he probably doesn't appreciate his exact address and gory details of legal/money trouble being posted on this site. Most people who live in the area are well aware of which house is his. This seems way too much like a tabloid story for Patch. Just my opinion.

What is with this page and exposing everyone's business? What relevance do his legal problems have with his birthday? Tasteless
