Did Clint Eastwood's Speech Make Your Day?

Spot on or embarrassing? Perfect or putrid? You tell us!

The audience cheered as Clint Eastwood took the microphone at the Republican National Convention and spoke for the next 15 to 20 minutes.

But critics have called the speech "rambling," as the actor spoke to an empty chair that was supposed to represent Barack Obama.

Perhaps taking the tack that other speakers didn't want to, Eastwod was sharp in his criticism of the current administration, calling Vice President Joe Biden 'a grin with a body behind it.'

So if you've had a chance to see his speech, what did you think?

How many ways can one say, "mistake"?
Republican convention went off the rails with this one.

Is this a taste of what Republican good judgment looks like?
What the hell were they thinking?

This was the last night of the Republican convention.
    And we are given this?

I am going to try to forget this misstep by this great actor, director.
Right now, I can only managed to feel sorry for him.
And to feel sorry for the poor bozo who talked the convention committee into this stunt.

Well...it was "different." And a bit sad. My strongest response was that it justifies some peoples' negative view of the elderly. As one who stands at the threshold of "geezerdom", I may be overly sensitive, but still...

In his prime, Clint could have rocked this speech. Unfortunately, age is robbing him of his faculties. But, in defense of his age, he reminds me of a younger, two term president called Shrub that struggled with words and thought as well, except rather than age, likely due to substance abuse.
