A 26-year-old Milwaukee man is facing drug charges after he was caught going the wrong way on a one way street in Saukville with marijuana in his car.

Mark A. Cox was charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court on Wednesday with one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, he faces up to seven months in prison and $1,500 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

Cox was pulled over on New Year’s Day after a Saukville police officer spotted him driving the wrong way on South Dries Street. While speaking to Cox the officer could smell marijuana, which Cox handed him inside a pipe after he asked if there was any inside the car.

Cox is scheduled to make his initial court appearance Feb. 22.
