George Webb Comes Back to Port
George Webb franchise location replaces the Port House Restaurant, a location the franchise called home for about 20 years once before.
It survived for about 20 years in Port Washington, and now George Webb is hoping to make a comeback by shacking up in its former location.
Franchise owner Vicki Belongia is opening the Port Washington location at 1042 S. Spring St., replacing the current Port House Restaurant. Belongia owns two other George Webb locations, and also recently opened a store in Kenosha, according to a press release from the company.
"I'm excited to open a George Webb restaurant in Port Washington," Belongia said in the release. "The brand is stronger than ever, we have a comittment to using fresh, Wisconsin products and we've broadened our menu to offer a great variety of meals at a tremendous value."
The restaurant will continue to be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The first George Webb restaurant opened in 1948, at the corner of Ogden and Van Buren Streets in Milwaukee. The franchise now has about 30 locations in mostly southeastern Wisconsin, with the next closest location in Cedarburg.

Some of the food is greasy and my child had a kids meal that included a drink but she said she had to charge for the drink. Kinda funny when it was suppose to b included with the meal.wHen I go in there, always weird looking people there whether it v the staff or customers trying to flirt with u while ur trying to eat. Also got the last two times a staff coming back every five mins talking to me about personal stuff or just stand there and stare at me when I was eating. Just got creepy and annoying...prob wont go back there again since I was very uncomfortable
