How to Get Free Tickets for Bruce Springsteen, President Obama

The legendary rocker will join President Barack Obama for a campaign stop in Madison on Monday. Here's everything you need to know to get tickets.

After making a campaign appearance in Milwaukee on Saturday with pop singer Katy Perry, President Barack Obama will return to Wisconsin on Monday to campaign with rocker Bruce Springsteen.

The rally with "The Boss" will take place in downtown Madison, and the general admission entrance will be at the corner of West Mifflin Street and State Street, Obama's campaign announced Friday night.

Springstreen will perform at what is being described as a "grassroots event," a campaign spokeswoman said.

The event is free and open to the public, with gates opening at 7 a.m., but those who want to attend must RSVP at the campaign website. In order to be admitted, you must show proof of your RSVP — either a printed copy or on your smart phone.

For more information, visit the campaign web site or one of the Obama campaign offices in Wisconsin.

Did we ever find out who won the "Dinner with Barack" contest? We keep talking about policies and the next 4 years and stuff like that. Let's hear more about the really important presidential stuff like contests and free tickets to appearances with pop tarts and aging rock legends.

Ah, yes, another "grassroots event".

Many years back a relative of mine who is also an acquaintance and a friend of mine as well as someone I know drove me by the Springsteen spread in NJ (we, thankfully, didn't come under attack during the drive, so at no time was I in danger). I have a feeling "The Boss" has people who look after the several acres of grassroots that carpet the grounds of his expansive-yet-humble-ish, person-of-the-people-ish estate.

It's a sign of desperation, that's all they got. Any thing to make the crowds bigger.

Oh yes. We are very desperate. All we have is Bruce Springsteen, Katy Perry and an insurmountable electoral college lead.
But Romney does have Meatloaf, Ted Nugent and a pile of cash to cushion his loss on Tuesday.

PR- I can't wait to post after the election how bad the Obama media (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS...) botched this. 54-45 Romney. Even with Springsteen and Katy Perry, you won't have as many as Romney is getting several times daily. You know, 30-35,000.

I'm surprised Obama doesn't plan an event for noon Sunday at Lambeau Field and then claim 70,000 people showed up to see him. In 2004, Obama had 80,000 people at an event outside Cleveland on the last weekend of the campaign. This year in the same county on the final weekend they are hosting the event in a school gymnasium.

Bruce Springsteen has been a political progressive making statements in his music and his words since the 1970s.

Actually, it looks like he, along with Obama will be "winners" on Tuesday and are both millionaires who are willing to pay more in taxes so that middle class people keep their taxes low and get this economy rolling again. Bruce came from a working class family and town devastated by Reaganomics in the 80's, which is why he is an out-spoken progressive Democrat.

Love you "Boss". Thanks for coming, again!

And Springsteen still sucks... Never had any talent. Can't sing, can't play guitar. But he was a whole lot smarter tha Obama. At least he surrounded himself with people that could sing and play. Obama? Not so much.

That's the average across the nation for the last decade, dude. After Walker's ACT 10, my rates went up more than that and now I have $5,000 deductible (as a state employee). Nobody, NOBODY should have a $5,000 deductible, not a teacher, not a fireman, not a lawyer or even a dentist, nobody!!!

"Rage Against The Machine": The hard rock band that Paul Ryan says he loves to listen to while he works out, has told Ryan that he IS the machine they rage against and can't stand his politics.

"Silversun Pickups" have told Mitt Romney to stop using their song "Panic Switch" at campaign events, sending a cease-and-desist order to the Republican presidential hopeful.

"Twisted Sister" front man Dee Snider tells Romney/Ryan to stop using "We're not gonna take it anymore" because Snider does NOT support Paul Ryan.

Hello, all of you proud parents of your geniuses (one of forty thousand) who attend the cesspool called UW-Madison. Has it ever dawned on you why Obama keeps campaigning at UW-Madison? Because your genius children have been indoctrinated into liberal drones. That is certainly a badge of honor for you parents. Oh, please, stop with the "My child goes to UW-Madison" bragging - you reap what you sow.

Annie: Not to worry, there are many kids there who can think for themselves. More have shifted to the right after seeing Obama's failure. I still find Madison to be a creapy liberal city, but not everyone there is a Libitard. The tides of change are coming, students talk. They see the upper classmen who graduated frusterated with no job and payments due on tuition debt. They all know Obama made things worse but not all are ready to admit it yet.
