Nominate 2012's Outstanding Citizen and Business

Port Washington Chamber of Commerce will accept nominations through Oct. 15

 

Know a Port Washington citizen or business devoted to the betterment of the community? Nominate them for the 2012 Business of the Year and Citizen of the Year, presented by the Chamber of Commerce.

Contact Lisa Crivello at the Chamber of Commerce for a nomination form by calling 284-0900. Nominations are due Oct. 15 and the awards banquet is Nov. 14. Other awards presented are the City Beautification Award and the Outstanding Achievement Award.

In 2011, winners were:

Outstanding Citizen: Mike Weber, Port Washington-Saukville Schools superintendent

Business of the Year Award: The Port Washington Charter Fishing Captains Association  

City Beautification Award: Vines to Cellar and the Community Learning Center

Special Recognition Award: Schmit Bros. Ford

Mike Weber... A bit of an odd duck, but a good dude.

"special recognition award" to Schmit Bros. Ford? Recognition for what? Hopefully not for that add sign that blinds drivers going by at night.
