Santa swung by the Wisconsin Humane Society last week to make a special delivery: nearly 3,000 tennis balls for the adoptable dogs and puppies at the shelter.

"He will be going from suite to suite, delivering the toys to the adoptable dogs and puppies at the Milwaukee Campus," according to a press release from the society. "The tennis balls were donated by Elite Sports Clubs in hopes of keeping the canines properly exercised and entertained as they wait for loving homes this holiday season."

Some of the balls made their way up to Ozaukee County campus in Saukville, where plenty of puppies await a home. Currently available pets are showcased on the society's website.

There are ways anyone can donate to the shelter and help out the animals, including the holiday program "Hopes Lights." Purchase a strand of lights or wreath to be on display at the shelter and remember a special someone.
