Super Lube Manager Charged With Theft

Suspect took nearly $11,000 from the business during the five-month period he was employed.

A former manager of Super Lube in Port Washington is facing charges after he allegedly stole more than $10,000 from the business while employed there for five months.

David A. Inkmann, 38, was charged Nov. 21 in Ozaukee County Circuit Court with one count of theft of more than $5,000 from a business setting. If convicted, he faces up to six years in prison and $10,000 in fines. He is expected to make an initial appearance in court Nov. 29.

According to the criminal complaint:

Inkmann, 2409 3rd Ave., South Milwaukee, was hired at Super Lube, 1610 N. Wisconsin St., in May as a manager and shortly thereafter monies began disappearing from bank deposits for the business. After the owner of the business investigated the incidents, he noticed every time a deposit came up short or missing, Inkmann was supposed to be the one to deposit the money.

Between May 7 and Oct. 5, $10,982 was missing from the Super Lube deposits.

After being questioned by police, Inkmann admitted to taking the money in order to “save face” and offered to repay the money to the business.
