Two Charged in Electronics Theft From Saukville Walmart

Two Milwaukee men, caught trying to steal from a different store, face felony charges after stealing $3,100 in electronics from the local Walmart.

Two Milwaukee men are facing charges after they were caught stealing thousands of dollars in electronics from the Saukville .

Jonathan M Gifford, 24, and Marquis D. Mitsanis, 21, were charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court on Monday with one count of felony retail theft. If convicted, they each face up to 3-Β½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

On Dec. 12, Gifford, Mitsanis and another man went to the Saukville Walmart. Gifford grabbed a plastic storage tub, put it in a shopping cart and began to fill it with electronic items. Mitsanis and the other man then left the store, got their car and parked it in front of the doors while Gifford took the items.

Gifford then left the store with the items and quickly got into the car, and the three drove off. The total value of the items stolen is estimated at $3,140.

Sometime after the theft, Gifford, Mitsanis and another man were arrested after trying to steal high-end electronic items in the same fashion from a Walmart store in Hartford. Police were able to trace Giffod and Mitsanis back to the Saukville theft.

Both men will make their initial appearance in court March 6.
