Walker Earns 60% of Votes Cast in Port, Saukville
Gov. Scott Walker earned double the percentage of votes than Democratic primary winner Tom Barrett walked away with; both municipalities report a 40 percent voter turnout for the election.
About 40 percent of Port Washington and Saukville voters hit the polls on Tuesday for the recall primary election that determined the Democratic candidate who will face Gov. Scott Walker in the general election on June 5.
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett defeated former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk statewide and will face Walker in a rematch; he won 26 percent of all the votes cast in Port Washington and Saukville, compared to 9 percent for Falk. Among Democrats only Barrett earned a 70-25 percentage margin over Falk.
But as a percentage of all votes cast for all GOP and Democratic candidates for governor on the ballot, Walker got the most — with 60 percent of the Port and Saukville vote.

The local turnout beats the statewide turnout of 30 percent, according to an article on Postcrescent.com; that percentage is also the "highest for a partisan primary in Wisconsin in 60 years."
Forty percent is about the same percentage of voters that showed up for the local elections in April in Port Washington and Saukville.

Walker would have had a higher percentage if republicans, such as I, hadn't thrown our vote to Falk in an attempt to keep Barrett out of the race. I'm sure this happened with Kohl- Riggs to a lesser extent.

Mike and the rest that did what he says he did - What a sleazy thing to do, vote in the primary of a party you oppose to try and select a weaker candidate for them to run against your party. I guess this is what your democracy looks like.

From what I know Kohl-Riggs did this on his own, whereas the "fake" democrats were an organized effort on the part of the Republican party, and were ran in every contest. I think that makes them more fake.

"Mike" and others like him is proof that voter registration laws safeguard nothing - some just lust of gaming the system. No wonder that Walker won the overwhelming amount of votes in Port - in one of the wealthiest counties in the state - also one of the least populated by minoroities. One just has to look at how Port has and is throwing money to private (and well off) companies to "stay in Port" with the false promises of creating lots of good paying jobs - on the backs of middle class wage earners. Grothman/Walker country - Hanlon's Razor comes to mind.

What does voter registration have to do with how Mike voted? Let me help you, NOTHING. Because this is a "recall" election each seat in the race was a seperate election. In this country citizens get to vote in elections for whatever reason they want. But commies like sigmund kolatzki can't grasp this.
