Fish fries are always popular in Wisconsin, and everyone has a favorite.
But there is no time for a fish fry like Lent, which began this week.
Patch would like to know where your favorite spot is for a Friday night fish fry. Give us a suggestion in the comments section below, and we'll feature that spot in a poll on Monday.
You'll be able to vote throughout the week, and we'll name the winner on March 2. Winners will be determined by Patch editors based on poll votes, comments, reviews and Facebook or Twitter feedback.
Our search for the Best Fish Fry kicks off 12 weeks of local business competition, trying to narrow down the top spots in town for everything from pizza to mechanics to salons.

The best Friday Fish Fry as far as I am concerned is at the Patio in Port Washington. Very good breading perch, done just right. Cole slaw and fries, potato salad, or red potatos. Excellant try one.

J'Sports Bar & Grill fish frys are well worth the money and taste! Your choice of deep fried perch or cod, cole slaw, french fries and rye bread!

I will have to say that I have eaten the haddock fish fry and Victor's twice since it opened and it's amazing! That being said, I haven't partaken in any other local fish fries, so I don't have a local comparison — I'm sure there's some good competition.

I love the fish fry at the American Legion in Port Washington. They have good portions and the fish is delicious! My dad used to get it for us every Friday, it was one of my favorite meals all week long. Newport Shores also has a great fish fry. There's so many good, local places to choose from!

New Port Shores has outstanding beer batter walleye and deep fried perch. Fries are excellent, and coleslaw is even better!

Absolutely the best is at Between The Greens! The all you can eat fish fry is priced so low I felt like I was stealing it. They certainly didn't skimp on quality either! Plenty of other choices too!

THERE IS A PLACE CALLED BOONDOXX OUT ON COUNTY ROAD LL BETWEEN PORT WASHINGTON AND BELGIUM THAT HAS THE BEST FISH FRY ANYWHERE IN THE AREA WITH PAN FRIED AND DEEP FRIED AS WELL AS BAKED FISH ON THE MENU EVERY DAY AND A FISH FRY SPECIAL WITH PERCH, WALLEYE, COD AND HADDOCK !!!
