UWNO Collecting Hats, Coats, Scarves & Gloves
Port Washington, WI: Every September the United Way of Northern Ozaukee (UWNO) and its Board has participated in the Annual Week of Caring. Traditionally the board works with their partnering agencies to determine a need and to extend a solution or a helping hand. After reviewing multiple worthy causes, this year's Week of Caring project will be to help the Volunteer Center collect new or gently used coats, hats, scarves and mittens.
As the temperatures begin to slowly drop and the reality of winter is right around the corner, the UWNO is asking your help to ensure our friends and neighbors in our community will stay warm.
The UWNO has teamed up with local business partners to make it easier for local residence to donate.
Collection boxes are set up at the following local businesses:
- Port Washington State Bank branch locations
- Charter Steel
- Wardrobe Safari
- Firehouse Restaurant
- Dawgs In Motion
- Bella Lei
- Ozaukee County Lobby
For more information on how you can donate, host a receptacle in your place of business, or just show your support of the United Way of Northern Ozaukee, please contact Barbara Bates-Nelson at 262 284 8098, or email at email@example.com. like us on our United Way of Northern Ozaukee Facebook page.
The United Way of Northern Ozaukee (UWNO) is more than a three-month fund raising campaign. We help find solutions to the most pressing needs in our community by collaborating with 16 local agencies whose focus is to nurture children and families, help the elderly remain independent, remove barriers to the disabled and help when misfortune strikes.
Your generosity and support of the United Way will help ensure our most needy neighbors receive the help they need. Together, with your help we are helping build and support a stronger community.
Let’s get ready to Live United!
