Cardboard Boat Regatta Still has Spots

There is still time to register for the third annual event.

There is still time to take your chances with floating in a cardboard boat during Port Washington's third annual Cardboard Boat Regatta.

The event is part of the Maritime Heritage Festival hosted Aug. 23-25, and the registration deadline for the cardboard race has been extended to Aug. 19, according to one of the organizer's, Dan Laurence.

An advance build race will be held on Saturday during the weekend festival, with a build-that-day race on Sunday. Learn more about the regatta, or see past races on Patch.
