Benefit for Matt Hopkins is Saturday at Railroad Station

Hopkins, 25, was paralyzed in a dirt bike accident last May.

A crowd is expected Saturday at Railroad Station as people from as far away as Florida come together to support Matt Hopkins, a 25-year-old Grafton man who was paralyzed following a dirt bike accident last May.

A benefit will be held from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. for Hopkins, who people call a good guy who has had some bad luck.

Hopkins was riding his dirt bike last May when a mechanical failure caused an accident. Hopkins sustained injuries to his spinal cord, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. Following the accident he was airlifted to Froedert Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee and the spent three months in a spinal facility in Atlanta.
