Brookfield Farmers' Market Draws Steady Crowd

Residents strolled through the market, looking at Christmas wreaths and jewelry and sampling food that ranged from fresh honey to different kinds of breads and tamales.

Local farmers and artisans offered everything from homegrown brussel sprouts to cheesehead scarves at the Brookfield Farmers' market on what started out as a relatively cold and gray Saturday.

The market, which lasted through noon on Saturday morning, also drew political activists from both parties.

Residents strolled through the market, looking at Christmas wreaths and jewelry and sampling food that ranged from fresh honey to different kinds of breads and tamales. Patch also had a booth at the market.

There's just one Farmers Market day left this year: Saturday, Oct. 27, from 7:30 a.m. to noon in the parking lot between City Hall and the Civic Plaza, 2000 N. Calhoun Rd.
