Northbound I-43 Reopened after Fatal Pedestrian Accident

Northbound lanes of I-43 were closed for roughly two hours as authorities investigated the traffic crash involving a pedestrian.

The Wisconsin State Patrol said the traffic crash occurred at about 11:18 a.m. Tuesday and involved a pedestrian. There's no word on the identity of the victim. 

State Patrol Sgt. Wendy Younglove said information would likely be released on Wednesday as the investigation continued Tuesday afternoon. "

"At this point ... obviously it is fairly fresh," she said regarding the lack of details available.

The interstate's northbound lanes at Pioneer Road were closed for roughly two hours Tuesday.
