Northbound I-43 Reopened after Fatal Pedestrian Accident
Northbound lanes of I-43 were closed for roughly two hours as authorities investigated the traffic crash involving a pedestrian.
Interstate 43 near Cedarburg has reopened after crews shut down northbound lanes to investigate an apparently fatal pedestrian accident, Patch media partners WISN reports.
The Wisconsin State Patrol said the traffic crash occurred at about 11:18 a.m. Tuesday and involved a pedestrian. There's no word on the identity of the victim.
State Patrol Sgt. Wendy Younglove said information would likely be released on Wednesday as the investigation continued Tuesday afternoon. "

"At this point ... obviously it is fairly fresh," she said regarding the lack of details available.
The interstate's northbound lanes at Pioneer Road were closed for roughly two hours Tuesday.
