Holiday Services Scheduled at Local Churches

The Christmas tree is up, the lights are hung and the presents are wrapped — perhaps it's time to take a look at the other side of the holiday and the real meaning behind Christmas.

Churches throughout Port Washington and Saukville have a number of services scheduled in recognition of Christmas — here's a list of some locations and times:

Portview Church

• Sunday, Dec. 23 at 9 a.m.: Engaged Moments (Family Service, 1st - 5th graders will join their families in the Sanctuary)
• Monday, Dec. 24 at 4 p.m.: Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
• Sunday, Dec. 30 at 9 a.m.: Ongoing Lifestyle

First Congregational Church

• Sunday, Dec. 23: Regular services at 8 and 10 a.m.
• Monday, Dec. 24: Christmas Pageant at 5 p.m.; Service at 7 and 9 p.m.

St. John’s Lutheran Church

• Monday, Dec. 24: Service at 7 p.m.
  
• Tuesday, Dec. 25: Service at 9 a.m.

Open Door Bible Church

• Monday, Dec. 24: Services at 4 and 6 p.m.

St. Peter's United Church of Christ

• Sunday, Dec. 23: Children's Christmas program at 10:15 a.m.
  
• Monday, Dec. 24: Services at 4 and 7 p.m.

Living Hope Lutheran Church

• Monday, Dec. 24: Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship at 5 p.m. (family-friendly) and 7 p.m.
