Local Events Make for a Busy Saturday

Grand opening celebrations, casino fun to benefit paralysis, Tiddy Wink tournaments and more — and all in Port Washington and Saukville on Saturday.

Every now and then, we all catch someone complaining about having nothing to do. In fact, sometimes it might even be you doing the talking.
But this Saturday in Port Washington and Saukville is an exception, with lots of options for lots of reasons. Check out this recap of ways you can have fun today (March 3):

  • Support paralysis foundation: Port Washington resident Pat Schmitt, left paralyzed after a motorcycle accident in 2006, is hosting the first ever Sauk Vegas Casino Night on Saturday at the Saukville American Legion, with the help of his sister and friends, and all the proceeds benefiting the Bryon Riesch foundation.   • Pheasants Forever hosting banquet: The Ozaukee/Washington County Chapter 680 is entering its 12th year, with its annual fundraising banquet March 3 at the  in Port. The banquet is their only major fundraiser, and last year it brought in enough money to allow the group to spend $12,341 on youth education — more than any other Wisconsin chapter.
  • Local businesses grand opening party: Two stores inside the Shoppes of Port Washington are holding a , with refreshments, festivities and door prizes. .
  • Tiddly what? Stop by the  in Saukville starting at noon on Saturday to catch the Tiddly Wink action — .
