Man Vs. Hunger Fundraiser Canceled

With a lack of team interest, an attempt at holding the relay race a second year to benefit the Saukville Community Food Pantry is canceled.

A relay race focused around food and meant to benefit the Saukville Community Food Pantry will not go on as planned this weekend due to a lack of interest.

Dawn Brooks and husband, Rob, from Between the Greens organized the event. Brooks said many of the teams that participated last year were interested, but unable to make it this weekend.

Not enough other teams signed up, forcing them to cancel the event. The event incorporated local businesses; teams consisted of four people, and each team member would have had a particular food item and related obstacle to complete

Last year, the event raised about $2,400 for the food pantry.

Brooks said they hope to try the event again on a different date.
