Editor's note: The following information is taken from a press release provided by Hallman/Lindsay Paints.
Hallman/Lindsay Paints is donating over $5,500 to local food pantries across Wisconsin in honor of its customers during this holiday season. In each community where Hallman/Lindsay has a store location, a local food pantry will receive a donation.
"As a local Wisconsin business, we are a part of the community," said Tim Mielcarek, owner of Hallman/Lindsay. "We consider it part of Hallman/Lindsay’s mission to contribute to the places where we live and work."
On Dec. 22, Mequon Store Manager, Matt Dorfler, met staff at the Saukville Community Food Pantry to deliver the company donation.
"Food prices continue to rise, and we know that food pantries are also continuing to see increases in demand," said Dorfler. "The Saukville Community Food Pantry provides much-needed assistance in this community, and we are happy to support their work."
Hallman Lindsay has been making donations to local food banks since 2009 when the recession was in full swing. The company is the only locally-owned paint manufacturer in Wisconsin with its own stores serving contractors and the general public. Hallman Lindsay paint is found in Miller Park, the Kohl Center, the Harley-Davidson Museum, the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery. Hallman Lindsay Paints strives to be Wisconsin’s most valued paint supplier in every market it serves.
