Photographer Captures Essence of Port for 20 Years
Dan Laurence avoids the water while photographing the Port Washington Yacht Club Sailboat races, which are held every Wednesday and Saturday, weather permitting.

Laurence has been photographing in Port for the past 20 years and has become well known in the area. When photographing Port Washington, he often sticks to the maritime theme; his work can be seen all around the city, including at , The Port Washington Harbor Center, and on as well as the city's website.
Laurence visits the Michigan shore to catch the sail races, which are held at 6:45 p.m. Wednesdays, and also Saturday afternoons from June through September. With the Yacht Club in its 55th year, members will be continuing community work helping at on Saturday.
