Street Fest Joins List of Holiday Weekend To-Do's

The rescheduled Community Street Fest will be held in downtown Port Washington on Sunday, and Patch will be there.

While many people are working to line up Fourth of July festivities for the coming holiday weekend, there's another not-so-Independence-Day-related festival making its second appearance this season in Port Washington on Sunday.

Port Washington Community Street Festival organizers plan to f on May 29 just barely halfway through because of thunder and lightning by hosting it again from 12 to 5 p.m. Sunday, in the same location (downtown Port) with the same and maybe even more vendors involved, according to Port Washington Main Street Executive Director Sara Grover.

The same bands that came to take one of the event will also be at the July 3 festival, as well as the Disney princesses, Grover said.
