Tellos Wins 'Best Sample' at Humane Society Fundraiser

The Wisconsin Humane Society Ozaukee Campus held its Feasting for Felix event on Thursday, raising more than $10,000 to benefit the shelter animals.

Close to 200 people showed up to the Feasting for Felix fundraiser on Thursday night, helping to raise more than $10,000 to benefit the shelter's animals.

The event featured food from 20 area restaurants catered toward a vegetarian theme, with awards for best sample, best presentation and best animal decorations.

walked away with the best sample award. Remington's River Inn of Theinsville won best presentation, and Cafe 1505 of Mequon won best animal decorations. Winners were chosen by a panel of 5 celebrity judges, including Patch Local Editor Lyssa Beyer, Henry Rosoff and Shawn Patrick of Fox6News, Lisa Curtis from the News Graphic and Dan Small from Outdoor Wisconsin.

"We're thrilled with the success of the event, and couldn’t be more grateful to all the restaurants, sponsors, volunteers and community members who came out for the event," said Angela Speed, the society's Director of Development and Community Relations. 

Other restaurants at the event included: Galiotos Twelve 21, , Amy’s Candy Kitchen, Tomaso’s Mequon, Milwaukee Ale House, Ferrante’s, Highland House, Out & Out, , Fire Ridge Golf Club, The Chancery, Zaffiro’s,  The Anvil, Mila’s European Bakery, Harvey’s Central Grille, , The Bog and First Watch Mequon.
