This is the second year that Friedens has hosted Adoption Connection through its Forever Families ministry. The other major adoption-related event sponsored by the Friedens ministry is its annual Forever Families 5K Walk/Run and Silent Auction, which raises funds to help families adopt children here in the United States and in other countries and to assist overseas orphanages. The event has so far raised more than $18,000 to support adoption. This year’s third annual Forever Families 5K will be held Sept. 22.

The Forever Families ministry at Friedens, an affiliate of the Evangelical Free Church of America, is built on a 40-year heritage of adoption at Friedens, in which nearly a third of its church family, including its last three pastors, has been touched by adoption.
