Week Ahead: Outdoor Activities Rule in Sparkling Summer Weather

Three live music events, the Garden Walk and the Farmers Market are just some of what's happening this week in Port Washington and Saukville

We’re not going to get the rain we need anytime soon, but if you love to squeeze the most out of our limited summer days, it’s going to be a great week. Here’s a few things to do around Port Washington and Saukville this week:

Wednesday, the Live at the Triangle summer concerts series continues at Veterans Park in Saukville. Playing this week is Vinyl Groove, performing hits from the 1960s and 1970s. The free show begins at 7 p.m.

On Thursday the hosts a special event just for teens. Learn about henna tattooing, the non-permanent body decorating art. Registrations and a parent permission slip are required. Call 262-284-5031.

Friday brings more free live music with the Freeport Music Summer Concert Series. Matt Tyner opens the show at 7 p.m. at the Veterans Park bandshell in Port Washington, and headliner Caravan of Thieves follows at 8:30 p.m.

After all that rocking out you might want more genteel events, and Saturday brings that. Enjoy the beginning at 9 a.m. Tour five gardens in and around Port Washington. Tickets are just $5 for adults, children and students are free. For another look at nature’s bounty, the begins at 9 a.m. And Saturday night, hosts a beginning at 6 p.m.

If you haven’t had your fill of live music, the City Band performs Sunday evening at the Veterans Park bandshell in Port Washington. And the American Cancer Society teams up with of Saukville for the beginning at 11 a.m.
