Get a little history lesson

Saturday is the 150th anniversary of the Civil War draft riots and in honor of the date several events are planned throughout the weekend. Starting Thursday and lasting through Nov. 16 a civil war exhibit will be on display on the second floor of the courthouse. On Saturday, a program to commemorate the event will be held at 2 p.m., with an open house from noon to 5.

War memorial dedication

Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, in cooperation with the City of Port Washington and We Energies, will dedicate the WWII Wisconsin Pillar of Honor as a monument to honor all Wisconsin veterans on the new coal dock park.
