will be holding a daylong event focusing around why we love this community!

In other words, "What brings us together in this place?" according to June Eastvold of Port.

The free event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wilson House in downtown Port Washington.

  • 9-10am:  Spelling Bee
  • 10-11am:  Why I Love To Live In Port-Sauk, Ages 6-96!
  • 11am-12pm:  Original Short Stories, Essays, Reflections & Tales — Past, Present & Future
  • 12-1pm: Words Put To Music & Performed
  • 1-2pm: Painting the Town with Shirley Gruen
  • 2-3pm:  Original Poetry About Port-Sauk & Ozaukee Press Editorials, Obituaries & Letters to the Editor
  • 3-4pm:  Doggy Stories About Life In Port-Sauk-As Told By Their Owners (sign-up sheets@Java Dock & Smith Bros. Coffee)
  • 9am-4pm:  Scrabble Competition ... winner will be declared the "2011 WORD-A-THON SCRABBLE CHAMPION"
