  • Early flick: Students in the Port Washington-Saukville School District don't have classes on Friday, but that doesn't mean they have to just sit at home. The , 316 W Grand Ave., Port Washington, is offering a matinee movie from 1 to 3 p.m. The free event will feature the animated movie "Despicable Me."
  • Take 2: The , 151 S. Main St., Saukville, is also offering a free movie for children at 1 p.m. The featured movie is "Alpha & Omega," the animated tale about two young wolves lost together in a foreign land and needing to get home.

Saturday

  • Hungry? Eat some wings! The Patio Bar & Grill, 601 N. Wisconsin St. Port Washington, is hosting a wing eating contest starting at 1 p.m. It's not a spice constest but rather a quantity contest, as wings are covered in medium sauce. The cost is $15 for contestants, which includes all the wings they can eat and a T-shirt. The contestants are given 10 minutes to eat as many wings as possible. The first place winner moves forward to compete at the Blue Harbor Resort, 725 Blue Harbor Dr., Sheboygan, also receiving a free night's stay at the hotel.

  • Viva Las Vegas: in Port Washington is offering drink specials during the Packers-Bears game, as well as the chance to win a variety of prizes. Every time patrons buy a drink or shot, they will be entered to win prizes such as a Packers jersey. Patrons can also enter for a chance to win a trip to Las Vegas when they purchase anything, not just alcoholic beverages.
  • A bingo warm-up:, 4885 County Road Ll, Port Washington, offers bingo games every second and fourth Sunday of the month, usually from 1 to 3 p.m., but has moved the game up this week in anticipation of the Packers-Bears matchup. Patrons can play bingo for $1 per card from noon to 2 p.m., and the prize will depend on the number of participants. The restaurant will then offer food and drink specials during the game.
