Younger Teaching Staff Moving into Port Washington-Saukville District

The Port Washington-Saukville School District kicks off the 2013-14 year with 13 new staff members, many of those teachers.

About one-third of the teaching staff in the Port Washington-Saukville School District were hired in the last three years, and officials cite several reasons for the employee turnover.

The district employs 196 people, with 56 of those being hired in the last three years, according to an Ozaukee Press article. Four last-minute resignations were accepted at the most recent School Board meeting, and 13 new staff members join the district for the 2013-14 school year β€” many of them teachers.

While some left for retirements, officials said the majority of them were for other reasons β€” finding jobs closer to home, or moving out of the area, according to the article.
