A Visitor Center Adventure

Volunteering at the Pebble House is a great way to spend a Saturday, and learn about all the things to do in Port.

I volunteered on Saturday at the visitor center/Port Washington Chamber of Commerce in picturesque Port Washington, which is located in the historic Pebble House.

There is so much going on in the city and I was very excited to be a stopping point for people  coming into Port for the first time — being able to share with them all of the fun and interesting things they can see and do in our beautiful city.

Some of Saturday's highlights were:

I talked with Karen and Art on Saturday, who were here from Illinois and staying in Port Washington for the first time this weekend.  It was so great to share some of my knowledge of ongoing and upcoming events happening  in our city. I suggested they try New Port Shores for dinner.  They are  looking forward to dining on the shores of Lake Michigan after their shopping spree at and their charter fishing trip this afternoon.  It just might not be a bad idea to join them, perhaps I'll see you there.
