Business Q&A: Vines to Cellar

Downtown Port Washington business offers chance for customers to become the winemakers and supports local Humane Society, Honor Flight.

Vines to Cellar is run by husband-wife team, Jim and CJ Wirsching-Neuser and offers an opportunity for connoisseurs to even make a batch of their own, unique wine from start to finish. Patch chatted with Jim to find out more about the shop.
Q. What is your business and what makes it special or unique?

A. Winery, wine retail, wine and beer making supplies.

Q. What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?

A. We do something fun called U-Vin where you can become the wine maker and help in making your very own personal 6 Gal/30 Bottle batch of wine with our wine maker. You start your very own batch of wine, learn some wine history and be part of the wine making process. Then when you return you fill, cork, seal and label your very own batch of wine.

Q. What's your most popular product or service?

A. Wine making for brides, anniversaries, wine samples and bottle sales at the winery.

Q. How does your business connect with the community?

A. Active in chamber, main street, donations to many local fundraising events, donate money to Honor Flight and Humane Society.
