Supporting local is an increasingly important topic as more and more people begin to understand the value of a locally-owned business. Here's a few suggestions to add to your local list.
In need for some retail therapy? You don't have to go far to find some good shopping — in fact, the Port Washington-Saukville area is full of some great places to spend your dimes.
For instance, Mrs. Spyder's Biker Patch offers biker clothing gear and accessories. The shop recently moved, and you learn all sorts of updates about the business by following it on Facebook.
If you followed The Portico Gift Shop on Facebook, you would know to watch for something special at the upcoming Packer game: "Watch for Aaron Rodgers wearing Portico Pirate gear this Sunday as his Halloween costume at the game," the business recently posted on the social media site.
