Well, that didn't last long. Anybody looking for a new bank, may I suggest Kohler Credit Union? I've been a member for years and they are great.

Clarification that wasn't included when this article originally posted: there are two Port locations, and the Grand Avenue location (which is also featured in this photo) will remain open. The location at 1590 Harris Drive is closing.

I really don't think having branches, of the same bank only blocks apart, is a good thing. I guess I would have liked if Harris had never bought up the local banks, but that's shot fire crackers.

I would have added something in the article about why the bank is closing branches (ie like what greg said, mainly the acquisition of M&I).
Secondly I bank at Kohler Credit Union and love it as well; however, I would suggest any credit union over a commercial bank.

Bring back Ozaukee Bank!!!!
Greg Huegerich April 10, 2012 at 09:18 pm
So the location in Saukville will remain open, along with the old M&I building? That's like having a Waffle House on each side of the freeway.
I do agree on the buy outs, it would be nice if mergers would stop and businesses would have to compete directly for business. Buying up a competitor to avoid competing on price hurts consumers and employees. In the meantime though, yeah, Kohler CU is a great option.

Amen to that. I left Harris shortly after the aquistion. Nothing near the customer service that Ozaukee Bank was known well for, and when they shortened their hours, there was no reason left to stay.

Ozaukee Bank is sorely missed!!
