Hyundai Yachts' largest yacht to date, the Asan 62 has been designed from the bottom up to be an ultra-contemporary yacht with a level of interior space and amenities normally found only on larger vessels. The result is a limited-production contemporary yacht with open, flowing interior spaces and advanced pod propulsion. The Asan 62 is perhaps the first yacht that truly takes full advantage of the innovative, proven pod propulsion systems now available.

Known for his award-winning yacht designs and experience designing racing powerboats with speeds exceeding 100 knots, Bill Prince approached the design of the Asan 62’s hull and machinery installations with one primary goal: to take full advantage of the latest generation of pod propulsion systems, allowing performance and luxury to come together on the water as never before.

With engines and mechanical systems mounted neatly under the cockpit, optimal use of the high-performance hull form can be made for a luxurious two-level interior. With a full-beam main salon framed by the largest hullside windows available in any yacht under 100 feet, three staterooms and three heads on one level, a pilothouse sky lounge featuring a wet bar and additional head on the upper level, the interior promises luxury, privacy and sophistication previously unseen on a yacht this size.

Available with twin or triple Volvo Penta IPS installations, the Asan 62 can be custom-tailored to each owner’s performance preferences, be they for brisk and efficient cruising or blistering top-end speed.  Prince, also a degreed mechanical engineer, worked with the engineers at Volvo Penta during the design of the Asan 62’s hull, incorporating lessons learned from prior IPS installations to ensure optimum performance throughout the Asan 62’s operating range.

Hyundai Yachts required an ultra-contemporary design for its breakthrough Asan 62, one that would also offer yachtsmen maximum interior volume. Prince turned to workboat heritage for inspiration in solving the competing requirements.
