Shoppers heading into downtown Port Washington for a little retail therapy now have a second option to add a little zen to their lives with a visit to the recently opened Spiritual Boutique.
An Indiana native, the spiritual reader and advisor who prefers to go only by Judy is back in business in Port with her downtown storefront, 317 N. Franklin St., opened in September; Judy previously operated a shop on Grand Avenue.
"(I) fell in love with the town," she said, citing the charm of the people as well as the draw of the lake and beach.
Judy said she was born with the psychic ability, and went on to study aura and chakra before launching her spiritual career.
"To me, I was just more fascinated about it just because it's dealing with the inner you," she said. "People think psychics tell your fortune ... (but) the aura is (really about) the energy surrounding you."
The Spiritual Boutique offers a number of services, Judy said, including:
- Palm readings: The most basic reading, which tells your characteristic and personality traits based on the lines on your hands; the reading can divulge information related to career, marriage and divorce and children.
- Psychic/spiritual readings: This reading focuses on the past, present and future of the person, looking into your eyes and telling you your energy.
- Tarot cards: This is the most in-depth reading, telling you past, present and future information with the ability to pick up on dates.
Candles, incense and crystals are also sold at the store, and visitors need not pay for a reading to purchase these items. Judy said she is typically open from 11 am to 7 p.m., but those interested in stopping by can also call 414-393-8925 for a reading. She is currently running a special for a $10 palm reading, $20 psychic/spiritual reading and $25 tarot card reading.
