I Am Thankful For...

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. Each year I get to travel back to Indiana, where my mother can do her favorite thing — mother — for her four children and their families.
There's always a football game on the TV, baked goods in the kitchen and a turkey leg with MY name on it, for as along as I want/demand it.
I am amazed that my parents, in their condo of retirement, continue to host an ever-growing gaggle of children who are continually just one step away from taking out the bookcase. But I really believe it's become their favorite holiday — if not their favorite weekend — of the year. And we're all so grateful to be together, because we know that it won't last forever.
