Introducing the Port Washington-Saukville Patch Moms Council

Local moms to weigh in on some tough questions and help guide parenting coverage for Patch; Moms Talk conversations to be held every Wednesday afternoon.

Being a parent is a tough job. At Patch, we understand and appreciate the important job parents do, and every week we will try to make that job just a little bit easier.

On Wednesdays, we will feature a series of articles loaded with local events, discounts and information to help parents.

And to make our Wednesdays a success, three local mothers have stepped forward to be part of the Patch Moms Council. , and are parents with children ages toddler to teen in this community.

Each week, the Moms Council will examine a difficult question for parents, and provide insights based on members' experiences in the Moms Talk column. On Wednesday, the council will tackle its first issue: how do you balance kids use of computers and other technology?

In addition to the Moms Talk column, Wednesdays will also feature a weekend planner for family activities, five great local deals or discounts, a kids-free escape for mom and we’ll also spotlight a local achiever in our Whiz Kids feature.

We hope to provide some great information that parents can use, and we will always remain open to suggestions. If you would like to nominate a Whiz Kid or know of a great event for the weekend let us know.

And even though we have great moms on our council, there is room for more. The council is open to any mom (or dad) in Port Washington or Saukville who is willing to help shape some of our parenting coverage or weigh in on issues facing moms and dads.
