Zombie contact lenses and more available at the Portico.

Looking for a place to get those hard-to-find contact lenses for your zombie eyes?

The Portico Gift Shop is branching out for the Halloween season.

Spooky or kitsch, the store is now carrying Halloween decorations, costumes, costume jewelry and assorted items, in addition to their well-known pirate gear and, yes, rubber ducks.

Portico owner Kimberly McCulloch said that while they've always had pirate gear — costumes, skulls, eye patches and the like — they've expanding their selection to include some Halloween items.

New items include Harry Potter costumes and related items for sale from the Ozaukee County Museum, which had used them for display. There's a Harry Potter robe, some neat witch's hats, a skirt, a pair of snazzy high-top tennis shoes and a Gryffindor blanket.

Other costume items include Public Enemies gangster items from the museum.

One of the benefits of the expanded selection is that people don’t have to drive all the way to West Bend for Halloween costumes, McCulloch said.

The store also has a display of mortuary science and embalming memorabilia from the 1950s, making for an interesting addition to the Halloween season.
