Port Washington – Port Washington native Kevin Flierl will give a free piano concert of Christmas music at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25, at Friedens Evangelical Church in Port.
“An Afternoon of Christmas Music” will feature many traditional holiday favorites, including selections from Flierl’s recently released second CD, “Expressions of Joy at Christmas.” Copies of the CD will be available at the concert.
Flierl is the son of Don and Judy Flierl and a 1984 graduate of Port Washington High School. He attended Friedens Church as a boy and later interned at Friedens under Pastor Mark Voll in 1999 as a student at Moody Bible Institute, where he earned bachelor’s degree in pastoral studies and a master’s of divinity degree. He also was ordained at Friedens in 2001.
He is currently a missionary to Zurich, Switzerland, with the Greater European Mission agency. He also has been a pastor, teacher, music leader and missionary in Illinois, Massachusetts, Washington, Oregon, Japan, Russia, and Germany.
He currently lives in Hillsboro, Oregon.
