Lake Shore Dance's Nutcracker Ballet is celebrating its 15th season presenting the Nutcracker during the holidays! The condensed and narrated format is family friendly. Families can enjoy the tradition of dressing up and going to the ballet together without the hassle and expense of a trip to Milwaukee. Nothing beats the experience of a live performance! Families will love the beautiful sets, costumes, and dancing with a story and music that holds a place in everyone's hearts. Dance students from all over Ozaukee and Washington Counties will perform in the Nutcracker. They have rehearsed since summertime. The show features dancers as young as three as adorable rats and gingerbread cookies through pre-professional performers dancing the roles of Clara and Sugar Plum Fairy. Our prince is danced by a guest artist and Herr Drosselmeyer, our story-teller, is performed by a guest performer. Stay after the show for meet and greets with the cast and photo opportunities with the stars of the show. All of the shows are held at Port Washington High School Auditorium.

Two private shows are scheduled for December 14. Local schools are invited to see the show as a field trip activity, combining the arts with education at 12:45. Schools receive educational packets to enhance the experience. Some spaces are still available for this show and reservations can be made by downloading the "Nutcracker School Invite" from our website. A second private show will be presented for community and social groups at 6:00 PM on December 14. Space is available for this event as well and groups can select to receive education packets, private meet and greet with the cast, and backstage tours. Reserve space by downloading the "Nutcracker Group Invite" from our website.

Public shows are held on December 15 at 2:00 and 5:30 PM.

Tickets are availble in advance at any Lake Shore Dance location or at the door. Adults are $10.00 and children 3-10 and seniors over 55 are $7.00. Children under 3 are free! As a part of Lake Shore Dance's commitment to the community, tickets can be discounted by $1.00 with a non-perishble food donation. Lake Shore Dance will make a donation to the food pantry to help make everyone's season bright. Lake Shore Dance has been making food donations for nearly 20 holiday seasons as part of our holiday performance events.
