Down Size Government

People keep talking about downsizing government but there are so many opinions of what that means we seem to get lost in the whole mess.  Here's my thought on how to down size, save money for taxpayers and make all levels of government far more efficient.  Simply cut the number of elected officials we have at all levels. Let's work from the top down.  We all talk about having equal representation in government, if we take the common sense approach we have one Senator and one Representative from each state in the federal government.  Each state gets one vote in each house; can't possibly be simpler.  Them put them all on term limits, President has only two terms, they only get two terms and no pay raises - ever; no health insurance, they can all take what ever plan is available for the self employed through their respective states and no pension, they all get Social Security - period. What are your thoughts?
