Ozaukee Family Services Raffle Winners Give Back

Winners of Ozaukee Family Services’ Family Fun Raffle were recently announced.

All proceeds from the raffle benefit Ozaukee Family Services (OFS), a local nonprofit agency with a mission of improving lives to help families succeed.

Lee Schlenvogt of Port Washington won the grand prize of a $3000. Chuck Carlson of Shorewood won the 42” Plasma Television. Brad Girsch of Cedarburg won the $250 Marcus Movie Gift Card.  This year the winnings went beyond these three lucky people. Chuck Carlson decided that the Meta House in Milwaukee could use the TV more than his family and donated the TV to them. According to Chuck, “Ozaukee Family Services and Meta House are two organizations that we believe in. By buying raffle tickets from OFS and donating the TV to Meta House we were able to support both of these worthy nonprofit agencies.” Lee Schlenvogt also donated $300 of his winnings back to OFS to reinforce his support of the agency and the benefit it has in the county.

Ozaukee County residents that are assisted by Ozaukee Family Services also win as the raffle provides much needed funds. The agency offers parent education and support; prevention education; Rainbows support for children who have experienced death or divorce in their family; affordable counseling for individuals, couples and families; and services that help senior citizens continue to live independently.  All services are free or on a sliding fee scale – no one is ever turned away because of the inability to pay.  Last year alone Ozaukee Family Services assisted over 6400 people.
