North Shore Bank to Host Free Community Shredding Day at Ozaukee County Branches on Saturday, May 4

North Shore Bank will hold its seventh annual bank-wide Community Shredding Day on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Public invited to bring personal documents for free, secure shredding

North Shore Bank today announced it will hold its seventh annual bank-wide Community Shredding Day on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to noon. People can stop by any of North Shore Bank’s more than 45 Wisconsin branches – including the branches at 2301 Wisconsin Ave. in Grafton and 2301 N. Port Washington Rd in Mequon – to have outdated, personal documents securely shredded. Community Shredding Day is free and open to the public.

“Properly disposing of materials that contain personal information is one of the best ways to guard against identity theft, and North Shore Bank encourages our neighbors and friends to take advantage of this free service during our seventh annual Community Shredding Day,” said Dane Didier, branch manager of North Shore Bank’s Grafton location. “We collected more than 65,000 pounds of documents for secure shredding last year and as people clear out closets, desk drawers and boxes, we hope to collect even more outdated documents for disposal.”

While materials will be accepted at all North Shore Bank branches in the area, those who have larger quantities of papers for shredding (up to two boxes) in the Ozaukee County area are encouraged to visit the Grafton branch at 2301 Wisconsin Ave. where a shredding truck will be on-site.
