Letter to the Editor: United Way Thanks You For Helping Reach $200K Goal

The United Way of Northern Ozaukee campaign launched last fall with ambitious goals — and the group is proud to announce that this community made it happen.

The United Way of Northern Ozaukee Board of Directors and the 16 agencies assisted through the campaign would like to thank the entire community for their overwhelming show of support of this year’s campaign.

In November, the board recognized a need and responded to the increasing demand on our agencies for support by asking the community to dig a little deeper. With that they raised the campaign goal from $175,000 to $200,000.

The United Way of Northern Ozaukee is supported by many ways: Heritage donors (personal donations) and local business run campaigns through matching donations from employees. The board would like to thank all those who contributed small and large in making this year’s campaign a success. A special thanks to this year’s top business campaigns’ Charter Steel and Port Washington State Bank for their overwhelming generosity.

By supporting the United Way Campaign, donors help local families, the elderly, the developmentally disabled and the unfortunate. Donations are also used to support programs that provide services to the children in our community.

The United Way is so much more then just an 18 member board. The United Way is all of us. It is the 16 agencies providing much needed services, it is the people receiving help every day from our partners, it is heritage donors, employers and employees donating to company run campaigns, community leaders advocating for support. Together WE ARE THE UNITED WAY!

Our heartfelt thanks to the community for their support of the 2011-12 United Way Campaign. Thank you for supporting over 60 years of giving. Together we can LIVE UNITED by giving, advocating and volunteering in our community.

Barb Dickmann, Board President
Ron Voigt, VP of Campaign
Jack & Louise Janik Honorary Heritage Society Chairs
