Buzz Kill: Underage Party Actually Isn't

Police responded to the residence after a caller thought it was an underage party because of the noise level.

A 24-year-old Port resident got a visit from the cops after his rowdy friends peaked the interest of someone nearby.

Police received a call about a possible underage party at 10:10 p.m. Sept. 7 in the 300 block of W. Van Buren St., according to police reports. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 24-year-old and then learned his friends were all of age.

Police warned the man about the noise level, the report said, but he said the party was ending soon anyway.
