Court Date Set for Mother Charged in Sex Assault of 12-Year-Old

The 36-year-old Fredonia woman charged for arranging the sexual assault of her 12-year-old daughter by her husband is now in custody.

The woman made an initial appearance in court on Thursday in connection with the incident. She faces two felony charges: one count of failure to act on a sexual contact with a child and one count of first-degree sexual assault/contact with a person under age 13;  her arraignment is scheduled for 10 a.m. Aug. 13.

The 44-year-old man was charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court with three felonies: one count of first-degree sexual assault; one count of child enticement-sexual contact; and one count of incest with a child by stepparent.

The incident occurred in April, when the woman brought her daughter into her bedroom where her husband waited under the covers. The woman remained on the bed while the husband assaulted the girl, and then took her to the bathroom for a shower.
