'Explosive' Fireworks End in Warning for Residents, Police Say

A roundup of incidents from the police reports.

At least a couple of Port Washington residents held a fireworks celebration of their own on Independence Day, warranting the attention of local officers.

Police received a complaint at 7:13 p.m. July 4Β of "loud explosive fireworks" in the 100 block of East Van Buren Street, according to police reports. Police also received a complaint at 8:24 p.m. that day about fireworks in the 200 block of Madison Street.

All residents involved were verbally warned for using the fireworks.
